DAVID OTTO
David attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English – Secondary Education in 1991. In 2000-2001, he attended and was certified as a Professional Massage Therapist at the Utah College of Massage Therapy (UCMT), Nevada Campus. Since then, David worked at the Ritz-Carlton for 9 years and works with Drift Spa at Palms Place. David started his private massage therapy practice in Henderson, NV, Hands In Motion in 2003 and continues to independently practice in the jurisdictions of Henderson and Clark County. He instructed massage therapy students at UCMT, Nevada campus, for 3 years regarding their professional development and other massage modalities.
David attended the Chiangmai, Thailand, TMC School for a 90-hour Traditional Thai Massage and earned Thai government & NCBTMB certification. He co-founded, developed, and operated the Bodywork Concierge, a marketing/networking business in Henderson, NV, for bodyworkers and bodywork clients; and co-founds the Nevada Nonprofit Organization MWR Project Inc, to facilitate a large-scale, simultaneous massage therapy session to benefit a local healthcare-/medical-condition-related 501(c) Charity and the Massage Therapy Foundation in a one-day, occasional Expo, Attempt at the Guinness World Record®, and Public & Professional education-based course offering. He has been serving, for 4 years, the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) Nevada Chapter as the Communications Committee Chair (past), Newsletter Editor (past), Webmaster (current), and 1st Vice-President (current). David also co-organizes the Las Vegas Massage Therapy Meetup networking group.
David volunteers for many local charities and events doing massage for the Public, most-notably, he spent a year working with clients at The Caring Place, in Las Vegas.
