Joe Montelbano
After years of being influenced by his Jin Shindo (Chinese Acupressure) Master, Joe entered massage school in 1999. After 720 hours of education, he graduated in May, 2000 as a Certified Massage Therapist and became the lead therapist for the Las Vegas Millenium Special Olympics held on Nellis Air Base. He then moved to Chino, CA and became an Independent Massage Therapist after one year of residencey at The Body Center. He specialized in Sports Massage and worked with Water Polo and Swim Team members, then, after his intoduction to Hot Stone Therapy, Joe found his true calling. Using a combination of Hot Stones, Heat Packs, Acupressure and Deep Tissue Massage, Joe provides his clients a unique method by which to slow down their nervous system, reduce inflammation and restore their body's innate healing mechanism. Joe moved back to Nevada and completed an additional 120 hours of training and passed his National Certification in Massage and Bodywork. (NCTMB).
Joe is a Wellness Specialist, specializing in methods of Relaxation. He is a professional percussionist who plays for Dance and Yoga classes around the Las Vegas Valley, he also facilitates a monthly community meditation called The Yoga of Sound and donates all funds raised to local charities. He also co-facilitates a workshop called The Breath of Sound. He is a 12 year elder of The Red Rock Drum Circle and a Devotee of Amarit Ananda Mayi (better known as Amma, The Hugging Saint). A devoted husband and father of three children, Joe and his family recently relocated to the West side of the Valley. He is now seeking an advanced degree in Hot Stone Therapy.
